A Keystone manufactured, USGI 1903A1/1903A3 Springfield rifle stock with a Remington stamped/blued A3 buttplate and Remington blued A3 upper band/stacking swivel. This stock was discovered in a garage about twenty years ago. It appears to have never been used. The only marking it bears is the "inverted K" of the Keystone Company in the cutoff notch. The wood is in excellent condition, with only a few light dings, (the two worst are pictured) and what looks like a few small spatters of white paint. I am fully confident that this stock would be absolutely gorgeous after a light sanding and some fresh oil. The buttplate and upper band both exhibit some surface rust, but it doesn't look very deep. I believe both will clean up nicely. As the stock appears to be previously unused, it may require some fitting in the barrel channel and/or action mortise. Only the parts listed above are included in this auction. No other parts are included.
