This is an Original Eickhorn German Army Officer Dagger Knife that is in a patinated state as found, hasn't been cleaned. The crossguard has a detailed bird with spread wings and a feathered chest. The grip has a patinated pommel top with standing oak leaves. The grip is a deep yellow color showing some grime from over the years and has two 1 1/2" long cracks which don't effect the overall look, just adds character. The metal ferrule seems to be missing, but it has a cloth band there. The silvered brass scabbard is 11" long with a finely pebbled surface with two bands of oak leaves and circle hangers. It has some dents & dings. The top band has been repaired as you can see in pictures #6 & #12. The 10" blade of this dagger is mirro-bright with some slight staining. It still has a needlelike tip. The 1935-41 Eickhorn Squirrel is deeply etched into the top of the blade very clearly. If you would like different specific pictures, please contact us. Any questions, please ask!!!
