WWII Photo Album Scrapbook, Patches, German Armband Combat Intelligence Drawings

World War II Scrapbook/Photo Album + Manuscript & Books Offered here is an incredible World War II archive consisting of a wonderful scrapbook/photo album; original working manuscripts of a World War II novel/memoir and other military books and papers. Please see the many photos below representing this collection. The scrapbook/album chronicles the military life of Joseph J. Novellino, from his days in the ROTC at the University of Arkansas 1932-1936 through his discharge in 1946 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Novellino served with the 76th Division, 417th Infantry; 79th Division, 313th Infantry; 44th Division, 114th Infantry and more; please see the page showing active duty and dates of rank. The spiral bound binder measures 11” x 11” and measures 3” thick; loaded with patches, articles, clippings and many photos including one of Novellino with the Olympic Bobsled team. Also included in the scrapbook is an original German arm band (Please request photo if interested). Novellino went on to write a book titled Angels Watched Over Him, published by William-Frederick Press in 1953, described as “A Novel of Faith Put to the Test of War”. Included are 6 copies of his manuscripts for the book, as well as a copy of the book inscribed by Novellino. In addition, included is a spiral-bound volume titled Combat Intelligence which contains approximately 150 pages of information on combat intelligence, wonderfully illustrated with numerous original drawings by Novellino illustrating various military formations and situations.
