WWII Era USMC Medical Corpsmen Knife, USMC Briddell w/2nd Pattern Leather Scabbard Marked USMC Boyt 44 - Excellent Condition!! Up for Auction is a WWII Era USMC Medical Corpsmen Knife with Leather Scabbard. Often mistakenly refered to as a "bolo" knife. The knife is a very heavy duty knife. The knife is marked USMC Briddell. The blade is bright. There are no nicks or chips in the blade. The blade does not show signs excessive resharpening. The handle is in Excellent Condition, no cracks. The handles are tight and appear to be made of Maple Wood. RARE: 3rd Variation with bright finish and three brass rivets in the handle. This is a nice example of this well know WWII USMC Knife. The Leather Scabbard is the Early 2nd patten with three rivets in the brass throat. The leather is soft and supple. All stiching is intact and not fraying. No damage to the scabbard.
